Our 9-day tour of the Croatian coastline will take you from the romantic and picturesque town of Rovinj, the gem of the Istrian peninsula in the north, down the rugged Dalmatian coast towards the region’s capital of Split, affectionately called ‘the most beautiful city in the world’ by its locals and the home of the UNESCO-protected Diocletian’s Palace, to the fortified early medieval ‘pearl of the Adriatic’, Dubrovnik, in the south. Complemented with an array of leisure activities such as scenic bike rides, island hopping, hiking trips, kayaking tours, visits to family farms, and carefully selected gastronomic experiences, this comprehensive tour of the Croatian Adriatic will engage all your senses and provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

DAY 1  Rovinj / Rovinj – first day

Following your independent arrival and check-in to an elegant, centrally located hotel, settle in and relax until the guided evening walking tour of this romantic and picturesque town. The labyrinth of narrow streets climbing up to the Church of St. Euphemia, dominating the town’s skyline, is lined with art galleries and souvenir shops, offering plenty of shopping opportunities. After the pleasant stroll, enjoy cocktails and a welcome dinner in a restaurant with a spectacular view of Rovinj and its fabled sunset.

DAY 2  Rovinj / E-bike day

After a hearty breakfast, depart for the town of Grožnjan and commence the scenic E-bike tour through the serene verdant surroundings of rural Istria, exploring its small hilltop towns along the way. Visit a family-owned farm halfway through the route and experience the delights of Istrian agritourism. Continue cycling to the town of Motovun, a quaint artistic oasis on the top of a hill, and wander through the maze of its cobbled streets and lovely squares before being driven back to Rovinj for a pleasant leisurely evening.

DAY 3  Rovinj / Rovinj – Split

This morning you will be flying from Pula to Split, Croatia’s second biggest city, where you will arrive in style – by speedboat transfer from the airport straight to the old town centre. Continue the day with food & wine pairing in a local restaurant, treating your palate to some scrumptious bites and premium, locally-produced wine. Check-in to your hotel and re-charge your batteries for a late-afternoon guided walking tour of Split – the city which is a living monument of antique architecture intertwined with early Christian, Byzantine and Medieval art, and whose vivid pulse will capture your perception.

DAY 4  Supetar / Exploring the Island of Brač

A morning ferry ride to the town of Supetar on the island of Brač and a short drive to the starting point of your island hiking tour marks the beginning of this day. An easy 30-minute ascent will take you to Blaca Hermitage, a monastic complex shrouded in numerous legendary tales. Continue your ascent towards two abandoned shepherds’ villages, where you will enjoy a game of balote (bocce ball) and a wholesome peka lunch at a family household. Afterwards, enjoy the stunning views of the town of Bol and the famous Golden Horn beach from Vidova Gora Hill. Embark the ferry once again for a short ride back to Split, where you can explore the city’s rich and lively bar scene or fine dining opportunities.

DAY 5  Split / Free day in Split / Lavish dinner

Today is all about exploring the 1700 years old city of Split at your own pace. Stroll around the old town centre and soak in the atmosphere of the vibrant streets, admiring the various architectural styles fused together in the uniquely charming fabric of the city. Sports enthusiasts can spend the day in nature on Split’s iconic Marjan Hill, while foodies can treat themselves to an appetizing meal in one of the city’s countless restaurants or attend a cooking class (with lunch included!) which we can organize upon request. The evening is reserved for another lovely gastronomic experience at the old town centre.

DAY 6  Split – Dubrovnik / Island hopping day

This morning, embark a speedboat and set off on a whole-day trip towards Dubrovnik, stopping at several memorable points along the way: the island of Hvar, a busy and glitzy summer destination, championed by the town of Hvar; the Paklinski Islands, a scenic chain of wooded islets known for their crystal-clear waters, hidden beaches and deserted lagoons; the town of Korčula, where you will have lunch in a local tavern; the island of Mljet or one of the Elaphite Islands, where we can stop for a swim (or hiking) break before reaching Dubrovnik.

DAY 7  Dubrovnik / Kayak tour and evening in the old town

Today, use the opportunity to go kayaking beneath Dubrovnik city walls, enjoying the view of the majestic towering ramparts from the sea, or at the nearby Zaton Bay, Dubrovnik’s green and unspoilt oasis of tranquillity dotted with aristocratic summer mansions. Afterwards, immerse yourselves in the lively atmosphere of Croatia’s most popular tourist destination and relax before the guided evening walking tour of Dubrovnik city walls and the old town, harbouring a wealth of significant historic landmarks. For a proper closure of the day, dinner on the terrace of one of the finest local restaurants is in store.

DAY 8  Dubrovnik / Day at leisure / Farewell dinner
