Coastal Wonders and Charming Towns

Ventula Travel DMC has designed a regional selection of private tours in Croatia. These tours were created with a great passion for many of Croatia’s hidden beauties which we sometimes combine with well-known destinations like Split and Dubrovnik, offering one-of-a-kind experiences. Our guides are fun and knowledgeable, providing travellers with insider experiences and discrete personal attention. Our tours do NOT have set departures or mixed groups; they are all private and can be requested through direct contact. Since all our tours are private, avoiding herds of tourists, making a left or right turn at the clients’ request, or going the extra mile is not problematic, but rather a privilege we often carry out. Croatian regions abound in diversity. While exploring Zagreb, Dubrovnik or Istria region, people find differences clearly visible, both geographically and demographically, which is why moving through Croatia is always rather refreshing. Even for us locals, Croatia is so diverse that sometimes it’s hard to understand ourselves at all 😉.

Split Region

The city of Split with its agglomerated surroundings is certainly one of the most exciting parts of Croatia. Situated on a peninsula enclosing the Kaštela Bay with the ancient Salona and the town of Trogir on its opposite sides, the city of Split is further protected seaward by the unique Central Dalmatian islands, and with high mountains and the karstic Dalmatian Hinterland behind its back.

Zadar Region

Situated at the very northern end of Dalmatia, the nocturnal resting place of the Sun, is the wondrous town of Zadar, adorned with a string of surrounding natural beauties: Velebit, the most impressive mountain in Croatia, separated from Zadar by an even more impressive Zrmanja River canyon; the magical islands of Kornati scattered offshore like stony pearls; and well-hidden historical sites in its inland.

Zagreb Region

At the crossroads of major routes between Central Europe and the Adriatic coast lies the region of the Croatian capital city – the city of Zagreb. With its classical baroque feel of a culturally rich city, Zagreb is an increasingly popular tourist destination, while in its surroundings one can enjoy a less-known Zagorje area – verdant crowd-free landscapes with delightful villages, medieval castles, endless vineyards and thermal springs.

Istria

This westernmost coastal Croatian region is actually a lush, heart-shaped peninsula where Central- and Western-European continent meets the Adriatic Sea. Although well known as a gastronomic hub, Istria offers a charmingly dualistic experience of its classical and aristocratic coastline and a rather mysterious and romantic interior.

Islands

As the second largest island group in the Mediterranean (1185 islands, islets and reefs), Croatian islands are steadfast protectors of the coastal traditions. Packed with unique landscapes and stories, each island can be seen as a state for itself, each with its own particularities. Out of 8 Croatia`s national parks, 3 consist of island clusters.

Dubrovnik Region

This Croatian and Dalmatian southernmost region is the most famous tourist destination, obviously centred around the magnificent old town of Dubrovnik. It also features some of the finest wine-growing terroirs, national and nature parks, charming historical towns, as well as proximity to the neighbouring Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina along with their own attractions…
